About this blog

Welcome to  Educational Art Thoughts.

My  name is Faige Kobre (that’s pronounced Fay-gee with a hard g)

My goal in the website and  blog  is to give parents and teachers the best possible experiences with Educational Art.

Educational Art is a term that I coined to ensure that the the art children are given is educational.

NOT that Art should teach children the ABC”s or even that art should be used for children to remember a learned concept.

But that art should empower children, give them  self confidence, vital thinking and problem solving skills, PLUS help them gain initiative and creativity.

Now THAT”s educational.

Educational Art can be divided into two main categories.

Educational Arts and Crafts and Educational Art.

With Educational Arts and Crafts I am trying to move as many people as I can away from traditional, copycat arts and crafts to crafts that allows kids greater creativity and thinking skills.

I have a FREE report you can download called Will Crafts For Kids Make my Kids Smarter that explains the educational philosophies behind why this is so important.

The second part of Educational Art is taking children further in their art through many mediums.

I hope to have you join me along in my endeavors to explode children’s creativity through series of posts on growing with collage, learning to drawing using some of less traditional “learn to draw” methods, using painting to discover many new ways of expression.

You will not see any traditional arts and crafts projects presented here.

You will see crafts projects but hopefully they will be non copycat arts and crafts projects.

It is a place where any interested parent or early childhood educator that wants their children to reach some of their great potential through art  and is not interested in traditional, copycat arts and crafts will be comfortable.

Even though I will be concentrating on certain series to actually teach you how to present activities in as step by step manner, anything art related for kids is fair game. (And maybe creativity in general)

Of course you may get some philosophical ramblings about kids, art, creativity etc. as well.

I hope you can join me on this journey to help our kids grow through art.

In order to do that you will need to subscribe to this blog which can do right from this page.
